Mirror server

Mirrors presents aselection of the best educational content available on the Net - but with a profound difference. All of the sites listed are actually fully duplicated on the Mirrors server - preventing the need for you to spend hours watching 'Contacting host' messages in your browser window. The site is based in Singapore, and presumably was set up because the speed of Net connections over there is none too hot. However, accessing the site from the UK presented us with no problems - and we were very impressed with the rigorous age and subject classification for each site.

Northern Ireland Network for Education
A well laid out resources site.

SCET
Website offering teachers a full range of curriculum classroom resources.

Teachers' Library Homepage

This site contains hundreds of links to the best educational resources on the Net. It was created as a resource for teachers, with tight integration to National Curriculum subjects. This is especially helpful on a system like the lnternet where so many resources are US-based and therefore of limited use to parents from the 180 other countries of the world! Registration is required, but access is completely free; contribution of further links is invited.
