Quotations
Bartlett's has been a mainstay of the "compleat" reference library for many
years. Every desk should have one. And every Net-connected computer can.
The good folks at Columbia University's Project Bartleby have made an early
(1901) edition of this handy work available on the Internet. It's fully
hyper-linked and completely searchable. You can find pithy quotes by keyword
or by author (from Adams to Zouch). If you're interested in quotes from a
particular period, the authors are even listed chronologically. The search
engine can be customized by power searchers. The only drawback: the resource
stops at 1901. Of course, some folks think that nothing worth quoting has
been said since then . . .

CDNow was one of the first on-line CD stores and it paved the way to giving

Geocities "It's a community thing"
Geocities can provide you with 10 mb of free web space provided you are over
16 years of age. You will have to suffer some advertising but by careful
writing of a web page you can have it inserted at the bottom of your page.
Geocities is divided up into communities and each community has a particular
theme. Athens is the educational area of Geocities. To find a web space you
have to go house hunting. Go into a particular neighbourhood and look for
an empty house. If you like its location then you register it for yourself.
The first web page you create must be called index.html - when Geocities launches your site it looks for a file called index.html. (It's like having autoexec.bat on a PC).
